Funyanna was born into a musical family. She was inspired to live up to the Kirkpatrick's legacy from her grandfather, Rev. Frederick Douglas Kirkpatrick; co-founder For the Deacons of Defense, civil rights activist and famous musician. Funyanna is a Musical artist, Life Coach, Motivational Speaker, Entrepreneur, and a Licensed Independent Insurance Adjuster. She's the daughter of Keith and Camille Washington of Ruston. Funyanna began singing at age 6, leading songs in the childrens choir New Rocky Valley Church. Later, she would compete in local talent shows, even dancing under the direction of Virgie Broussard and Diane Maroney both instructors for the Grambling State University "Orchesis". In 2020, "Louisiana Hot' her first hit single went viral on social media outlets. On August 6, 2020, the town of Jonesboro, La. gave her a proclamation as torch bearer to her grandfather. In September of 2021, she released her first R&B album for the world to enjoy and embrace. Funyanna has a social media platform where she promotes spirituality, daily motivation, and provides heavenly antidotes to win battles over the enemy. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of the FDK Foundation geared towards educating young African American youth on music, culture, fine arts, literature, and business education.
